Fall of the future is feeling more like the Fall of the present, as us New Yorkers are eagerly layering up as the temperature drops. Back to black doesn't mean back to basics, as we find that more of the same can add depth and detail to your seemingly basic ensemble.
The key to this weather seems to be layering, a jacket around your waist makes for an interesting silhouette during the day and a comfortable warmth at night.
While experimenting with some of our favorite INA pieces, we found that layering up also doesn't mean lacking a strong shape, and that there is no such thing as too many textures.
As fashion week is behind us, we are focusing on our fall favorites for now rather than our lust-list for next spring. Below you'll find some of our favorite pieces that will stand strong on their own or compliment your layered look.

Alexander Wang Pebbled Leather Darby Bag $550 at INA Nolita

Lost & Found White Apron Front Button Down $275 at INA Men and INA Online
Ralph Lauren Black Label Pocket Front Nylon and Knit Jacket $395 MVIO Curly Knit Sweater $120
Salvatore Ferragamo Cotton and Mohair Blend Curly Coat $550
When we're all trying to keep warm and choosing from wool and cashmere, it's easy to feel like your wearing a jumpsuit of fabric. To keep things interesting and break up a warmer look, opt for knits that have elements of other fabrics, or an unexpected texture. The Ralph Lauren Black Label jacket shown above is a great example of wearing knits over knits, but the nylon pocket covered front adds function and textural diversity. In a similar fashion, the almost mohair, slightly curly wool chosen for the striking Salvatore Ferragamo overcoat shown above means you can wear a full suit of grey wool beneath without looking uniform.
Kris Van Assche Fold-Over Leather Boots $325 at INA Men Balenciaga Plaid Skirt (Background) $450 at INA Soho
